Bournival signed to 1-year, 2-way contract

The Lightning signed F Michael Bournival to a one-year, two-way contract Tuesday.

Bournival, 25, played in 19 games last season with the Lightning. He had two goals and an assist. He also played in 38 games with the Syracuse Crunch, scoring nine goals and assisting on 10 others. He had eight goals and 15 points in 22 games for the Crunch during the Calder Cup Playoffs.

Here is more information on Lightning F Tyler Johnson’s 7-year, $35 million contract:

Year-by year breakdown: $5 million, $6.75 million, $5.5 million, $3.75 million, $5.5 million, $3.75 million, $4.75 million.

He has a no-trade clause from 2018 to 2021. After that, he has a modified no-trade clause that lists 20 teams he CAN be traded to.

According to CapFriendly.com, the Lightning now has a projected cap space of $8.68 million.
