Scouting Report
Mobile and skilled stickhandler and passer. Has the coveted booming right-handed point shot. Not big in stature, but strong with low center of gravity. Positionally well schooled in his defensive third.
Statistical production in the QMJHL does not match physical talents. Prone to disappear for long stretches. Not overly physical, and more of stick-in-the-lane type defender. The "Russian factor" makes him a potential flight risk to the KHL.
#5/#6 2-way defenseman in the NHL or top-4 defenseman in the KHL

"A wild card in more ways than one because he’s so slick and so Russian at times and so very ordinary at others. His skills are clearly there and he’s mobile, very well-built and he’s smart but after a year playing with the Val-d’Or Foreurs, Igor Larionov’s client needs to learn more English and French, feel a little more comfortable doing his own thing and hopefully showing some grit during the prospect tournament."
