Per Cristoderos blog. TB gets rights to Malone and Roberts for the 4th from the Richards deal. Pick becomes a 3rd if Malone is signed.
Just to throw this out there, on September 21st at 11PM, the UCF Golden Knights will play USF in the season opening game at the RDV Sportsplex in Maitland.
It's free for UCF students, 5 dollars for everyone else. If you don't mind being out late and want to watch some hockey, come on out.
For mapquest purposes, the address of RDV is:
8701 Maitland Summit Blvd
Orlando, FL 32810
Seeing all the talk about what we should do with our lines recently, there are two names out there I would LOVE to see in Tampa. The first is Huselius, and the second is Straka. I think either one of these guys could be deadly on a line with Richards. I think Huselius would be more costly on the trade front, but we have a deep ammount of goalies/defensemen that I think have some pretty decent value. He has a really nice cap number at 1.4 mil. Great hands, and perhaps he could move to the first line with Vinny, and move MSL back to the second line to wing with Richards. Huselius seems to be more of a passer to me which would make things odd with him and Richards being the playmaking type.
Erik Erlendsson of the Tampa Tribune reports:
First the trade…
Lightning have traded Andy Delmore and Andre Deveaux to Atlanta in exchange for Stephen Baby and Kyle Wanvig. All four players will remain in the minors for now, Delmore and Deveaux to Chicago while Baby and Wanvig will be assigned to Springfield.
Of note, apparently Delmore may more than likely stay in the minors as Philadelphia is ready to swipe him off waivers if he is put on recall, so there is a good chance that Delmore won’t come back to bite the Lightning as a member of the Thrashers this season.
LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings have traded goaltender Ryan Munce to the Tampa Bay Lightning for a fourth-round draft choice in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced Saturday.
Munce, 21, has played in 17 games this season with Reading of the ECHL and has a 5-6-4 record, a 3.30 goals-against-average and a .884 save percentage. He was most recently with the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League but had not appear in a game with the Monarchs this season. He was originally selected by the Kings in the third-round (82nd overall) of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
