After starting the year with at least a point in his first eight games, Nikita Kucherov is scoreless in his last two contests. He and his Huskies had a satisfying win on Friday when Kucherov’s new team beat his old team, 4-1. Kucherov was traded from Quebec after a decision was made to sit Kucherov as an “extra” import player. A trade was worked out to benefit both teams. On Friday, the team with Kucherov scored three times in the third period to claim victory.

Season totals: 24 GP, 10-17-27, +8, 50 PIM

Cedric Paquette has been making news lately for the right reasons. Earlier this year he was suspended by the team for one game for taking an ill-advised retaliation penalty late in a game that cost the Armada a win. He was stripped of his alternate captain’s A and told to control his emotions. He has responded nicely, reportedly, and told the local papers that he is still a leader on the club without a letter. On Friday, he had an assist in Etienne Marcoux’s 16-save shutout of the Olympiques.
