Ouch. This was a big game for Wilcox, who was coming off a 34-save shutout and facing the team that traded him just a few weeks ago. Wilcox gave up two in the first period, then two quick ones early in the third to take the loss. He was pulled in favor of backup Phoenix Copley.

Janosik played his first game back with the Olympiques after serving as an alternate captain for Team Slovakia in the U20 World Junior Championships. London Knights 4 @ Sudbury Wolves 1

Quebec Remparts @ Victoriaville Tigres 5 (OT)

D Daniel Milan, MON: 0-0-0, -1, 0 PIM, 0 SOG, 0 Hits
Season Totals: 34 GP, 0-5-5, -14, 31 PIM
With Victoriaville: 1 GP, 0-0-0, -1, 0 PIM
With Moncton: 33 GP, 0-5-5, -13, 31 PIM

Milan made his Victoriaville debut, which ended up to be an overtime win for the Tigres over the league’s top team. Blackhawks 2011 first rounder Phillip Danault, who just signed an entry level contract with Chicago this week, scored the overtime winner. Victoriaville, who acquired Milan earlier this week from Moncton for two younger players, has revamped their backline and are still rumored to be after Moncton captain Brandon Gormley.

QMJHL Note: Lightning prospect Adam Janosik of Gatineau is with Team Slovakia at the U20 World Junior Championships in Alberta.

OHL

London Knights 6 @ Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 1

C Vladislav Namestnikov, LDN: 0-4-4, +2, *Second Star*
Season Totals: 34 GP, 17-27-44, +12, 28 PIM

Namestnikov played his first game since being cut from Team Russia for what turned out to be a lower body injury that kept him out of the Knights’ next three games. He was named second star because former Lightning camper Seth Griffith had a goal and three assists for First Star. Griffith and Namestnikov continue to produce well together – something some Lightning fans would like to see in the future with the big club. This was the second four-assist game for Namestnikov in his last five contests.

Milan on the Move

If Lightning prospect Daniel Milan is going to turn his season around, it’s not going to be in a Moncton uniform.

The Lightning’s post-training camp free agent signee was traded by Moncton today to Victoriaville for two players, Danick Emond and Jacob Sweeney. The trade was listed on the QMJHL's official website.

Victoriaville is rumored to be after Moncton’s biggest prize, defenseman Brandon Gormley who is currently with Team Canada at the World Junior Championships.

A native of Michigan, Milan made the QMJHL all-rookie team last year after he scored 14 goals and 38 points in 68 games. This season he has just five assists in 33 games. He recently broke a personal 14-game scoreless streak.

Lightning General Manager Steve Yzerman said after he signed Milan that he was signed for his defensive abilities and anything on offense is a bonus, though they probably didn’t envision Milan to slump this bad statistically.

Milan joins a Tigres team who is 11 points above Moncton in the league standings. With Shawinigan hosting the Memorial Cup this year, two QMJHL teams will get in the tournament, and Victoriaville is pushing for that honor.

OHL

Sarnia Sting 3 @ London Knights 7

C Vladislav Namestnikov, LDN: Did not play (injured)
Season Totals: 33 GP, 17-23-40, +10, 28 PIM

After Namestnikov was a surprise cut by Team Russia at the World Junior tournament, rumors started swirling he was injured when trying to make the team though nothing had been announced. Friday was the second straight game for London that Namestnikov has missed due to a “lower body injury,” giving those rumors some credibility. Speaking of credibility, it’s a lot easier to handle Namestnikov – a first round pick of the Lightning in 2011 – not making the team due to an injury than not being good enough. On Friday, Lightning camper Seth Griffith had a hat trick for the Knights. He also added an assist. Griffith (pictured) now has 29 goals and 50 points in 35 games.

Owen Sound Attack 1 @ Kitchener Rangers 4

D Geoffrey Schemitsch, OS: 0-0-0, +1, 0 PIM
Season Totals: 25 GP, 0-8-8, +1, 16 PIM
