Greenville broke a 1-1 tie past the midpoint of the first period and never looked back, padding their lead with five more goals over the course of the second and third period for a resounding divisional road win over Florida. The Everblades managed forty-five shots but had difficulty cracking Scott Stajcer, the Road Warriors' netminder. Matt Pistilli, whom Florida acquired from South Carolina in late December, had Florida's only goal. A night after getting yanked himself, it was Pat Nagle who entered the game in relief of Rob Madore, who allowed five goals on twenty-nine shots. After combining for three points the night before, both Alex Hutchings and Maxime Langelier-Parent, who , . Dan Milan was scratched while Charles Landry, who was also inactive, remains in Syracuse with the Crunch. Maxime Langelier-Parent, the game's second star, was back in the lineup for the first time since the second game of the season and helped lead Florida's comeback attempt that came up just short when Trenton's Mike Ullrich scored the game-winner with a half-minute remaining in overtime. The Everblades roared back a 4-1 deficit, scoring two shorthanded goals on the same Trenton power play in the process, in a roughly six-minute span that stretched the tail end of the second period and start of the the final frame. Pat Nagle started but did not factor into the decision as he was pulled just past the halfway point of the match. Alex Hutchings, who now has points in eight of his last nine games he's played in, scored Florida's second shorthanded tally late in the second period to pull the home squad within a goal when, while streaking into the slot, Mike Ratchuk hit him with a feed that he quickly fired past Titans netminder Scott Wedgewood. Defenseman Charles Landry remains in Syracuse with the Crunch. Florida (22-15-8, 52 PTS) closes out its home stand with a Saturday night match against Greenville (28-16-2, 60 PTS), which is currently atop the Souh division standings.

Florida followed up its pasting of Greenville this past Sunday with another stirring victory at home, working its way to a commanding 5-0 lead while keeping Trenton off the board until late in the final period. Pat Nagle, who earned the game's third star, delivered a statistical duplicate of his last performance, stopping nearly everything thrown his way en route to earning his 11th victory of the season. Nagle's save percentage, which has hovered below .900 for much of the season, has quietly crept to more respectable territory. Alex Hutchings followed up a two-point effort against the Road Warriors with a goal, which came off a rebound late in the second period while on the power play and put the Everblades up 4-0, and an assist. Hutchings is now back within striking distance of point-per-game territory. Defenseman Charles Landry remains in Syracuse with the Crunch. Florida (22-15-7, 51 PTS) and Trenton (17-21-6, 40 PTS), which remains at the bottom of the Atlantic division, are back at it Friday night in Estero.

All good things must come to an end, as the saying goes, and that's precisely what happened Sunday afternoon as South Carolina took a 3-1 lead into and then close out the third period to bring Florida's five-game winning streak to a halt. Though the Everblades edged the Stingrays in shots and opened the scoring with a power play tally, they lost the special teams battle as South Carolina built its lead in the first two periods with three scores while a man up. Landry scored his third goal of the season and second in as many games in the final minute after South Carolina had already tacked on an empty-netter. Alex Hutchings remains with AHL Syracuse. Florida (20-14-7, 47 PTS) now heads home to await Greenville (26-14-4, 56 PTS) for a Saturday evening match that will provide the Everblades a chance to close the gap in the standings between themselves and the current South division leader.

Brady Irwin broke a scoreless tie early in the second period and Rob Madore, who made thirty-four saves, backstopped Florida to a shutout victory over division-rival South Carolina on Saturday night. It was the fifth-straight win for the red-hot Everblades, who have scored seventeen goals and allowed just eight during this streak. With Alex Hutchings still on recall to Syracuse, Charles Landry and Dan Milan were the only Lightning prospects in action. Landry scored his second goal of the season, his first since November 10th, by lofting the puck, which caromed off the boards, out of the Everblades end, down the ice and into an empty net in the final minute of regulation. Florida (20-13-7, 47 PTS) is now in striking distance of first place with three games in hand on co-leaders Greenville and Gwinnett, finishes its weekend with another bout against South Carolina (19-21-4, 42 PTS) Sunday afternoon.

Brody Sutter's unassisted strike past the midpoint of the third period gave Florida its third lead of the night and proved the decisive marker as the visitors narrowly edged South division-leading Gwinnett on Friday night. The victory meant Pat Nagle and the Florida kept their win-streaks, now up to four games for both, alive. The Gladiators peppered Nagle all night, hitting double-digits in shots in all three periods while the Everblades, but the Tampa Bay Lightning goalie prospect was able to turn aside all but two attempts. Both teams combined to go scoreless on five power play opportunities. Alex Hutchings was still on recall to Syracuse while Charles Landry was back in the lineup after being reassigned back to Florida. Maxime Langelier-Parent remains inactive. Florida (19-13-7, 45 PTS) travels again to do battle with South Carolina (19-20-4, 42 PTS) on Saturday.

Pat Nagle earned his second win of 2013 in his second try, stopping 38 shots against visiting Toledo on Friday night. All three Lightning skating prospects notched assists, including Dan Milan - his first professional helper. Hutchings has six points (2G, 4A) in his last five games. Both he and Landry will travel to Syracuse on Saturday to join the Lightning's AHL club. Reports state a handful of Crunch players are now in Tampa expecting the NHL lockout to be declared officially over.

Big and scrappy forward Leigh Salters scored twice and Pat Nagle stopped all but one of twenty-six shots to lead Florida to a sound decision over Toledo at home Wednesday night. The Everblades came into the game having been pretty efficient on the power play recently and, as they were able to convert on one of just two opportunities with the man-advantage, that trend continued against the Walleye. Hutchings, who now has five points (2 G, 3 A) in the last four games and, again, with NHL teams preparing to open camps this weekend, one might wonder if he's due for a recall to AHL Syracuse, especially given the expected promotion to the big club of a Crunch forward or two. It was Nagle's first start and game action since December 28th. Maxime Langelier-Parent, still recovering from an injury sustained early in the season, were inactive. Florida (16-12-7, 41 PTS) and Toledo (19-14-4, 42 PTS) play the second match of a three-game set on Friday.

Brayden Irwin helped Florida erase two deficits but the visitors could not score again after falling behind to South Carolina for a third time late in the second period. A night after having the play taken to them at even-strength, the Everblades did a good job limiting the Stingrays chances but the host squad proved opportunistic, scoring three goals despite managing just nineteen shots on goal. Both teams traded power play goals. Hutchings, who now has four points (2 G, 2 A) in the last three games, is suddenly hot again and it may be at just the right time to earn a recall to AHL Syracuse if a forward spot or two opens up there as a result of of the NHL lockout ending. Pat Nagle was back in the lineup after missing the last couple of games. John Muse started and took the loss for the Everblades. Maxime Langelier-Parent, still recovering from an injury sustained early in the season, were inactive. Florida (15-12-7, 39 PTS) is next in action on Wednesday when it plays host to Toledo (19-13-4, 42 PTS).
