The lone goal Everblades netminder Jesse Deckert surrendered came with the Solar Bears down a man. Charles Landry joined Danick Gauthier and Kristers Gudlevskis in AHL Syracuse prior to the match, leaving Dan Milan as the only farmhand present with an NHL contract to appear in the match. Carl Nielsen, who has an AHL contract the Lightning's affiliate, was ejected from the game as a result of a kneeing infraction. Florida (7-0-1, 15 PTS) now returns home for some rest and recuperation before taking on visiting Elmira (2-3-0, 6 PTS) on Wednesday.

With Kristers Gudlevksis still up with AHL Syracuse, the Everblades turned to Jesse Deckert, who stopped 22 of 25 Wranglers shots, to tend net for the fourth-straight game. Danick Gauthier, currently tied for the fourth-highest point total on the team, added a primary helper on a power play tally by Matt Pistilli, the team's and league's current top scorer, in the second period. Charles Landry had the night off while Dan Milan was inserted into the lineup for just the second time this season. Florida (6-0-0, 12 PTS) now heads home to await division rival Orlando (2-3-0, 4 PTS), whom it will square off against on Friday.
