The league standings says you have won 75% of your games, but then again you've lost 4 of your last 5, 5 of your last 8, and the cellar-dwelling Gwinnett Gladiators have put a 7-spot up on the scoreboard in back-to-back games. Seems like a reason for concern in Estero. The once unflappable Allen York is winless in this last 3, allowing 16 goals in that span, and his save percentage has dipped below 90% for the first time this season. Friday night, the 'Blades took a 3-2 lead into 2nd intermission, partly behind Lightning camper Mike Aviani's sixth goal of the season that was the equalizer early in the 2nd period. But far from closing out a one-goal lead, Florida allowed five 3rd period Gwinnett goals on just six shots! York made just 1 save on 5 shots in that disastrous 3rd period. Florida draws the rematch Saturday night against Gwinnett looking to stop the bleeding.

Gauthier assisted on the Thunder's first and last goals, the latter being a power-play marker that knotted the game at 4-4 early in the 3rd period. Back from recall to Syracuse, Lightning prospect Dan Milan squared off against Rush forward Daniel Barczuk in a bit of fisticuffs following Wichita's 3-2 go ahead tally early in the 2nd period. The Thunder, losers of 3 straight and 6 of their last 8, get another shot at Rapid City Saturday night.

After returning to the lineup for Wednesday's game against the visiting Tulsa Oilers, Lightning defensive prospect Artem Sergeev was out of the lineup for Friday's closing series match with the Oilers. With the domino effect of defensive injuries in Tampa, Sergeev has not been recalled to Syracuse so he *must* be hurt. Goalie Allen York sat backup to Andy Iles who allowed just 2 Oilers shots through, and former Tyler Johnson teammate Mitch Wahl scored points in all four of Florida's goals. After long winning streaks after another in 2014, the Everblades have dropped 4 of their last 10. When you've been playing at an 85% clip, a 60% streak feels a bit worse than it really is. The Everblades finish up their home stand against Gwinnett Saturday night, before hitting the road for a three-in-three next weekend.

Lightning defensive prospect Artem Sergeev was back in the lineup Wednesday night after missing 3 games, as the Tulsa Oilers made their first ever visit to Germain Arena in Estero. Lightning camper Mike Aviani twice notched the primary assist on critical equalizers. The Everblades were playing catch up all night, and early in the 3rd period Aviani assisted on the goal that knotted the game at 4-4, capping off a 2-goal deficit rally. The Oilers would go back ahead midway through the 3rd, but Aviani once again assisted on the 5-5 equalizer a few minutes later. Sergeev was credited with the primary assist on Florida's 2nd goal. Tulsa sealed the win 1-0 in the shootout, as Jeff Costello and four other failed to convert. The Oilers and Florida play again Friday night.

Fellow Bolt prospect Daniel Milan assisted on Wichita's 2nd and 3rd goals, the latter being a short-handed marker to draw the Thunder within one goal, but Evansville goalie Chris Driedger stymied all 10 of Wichita's 3rd period shots. The two teams play again Sunday to complete the back-to-back.
