Season Totals: 33 GP, 17-23-40, +10, 28 PIM

After Namestnikov was a surprise cut by Team Russia at the World Junior tournament, rumors started swirling he was injured when trying to make the team though nothing had been announced. Friday was the second straight game for London that Namestnikov has missed due to a “lower body injury,” giving those rumors some credibility. Speaking of credibility, it’s a lot easier to handle Namestnikov – a first round pick of the Lightning in 2011 – not making the team due to an injury than not being good enough. On Friday, Lightning camper Seth Griffith had a hat trick for the Knights. He also added an assist. Griffith (pictured) now has 29 goals and 50 points in 35 games.

Green Bay Sends Wilcox to Storm

General Manager and Head Coach Drew Schoneck announced Monday that the Tri-City Storm acquired Tampa Bay Lightning prospect goalie Adam Wilcox from the Green Bay Gamblers for a first round draft pick in the 2012 USHL Entry Draft.

“We felt that, while Pheonix (Copley) has played well for us so far this season, we could add a champion-like goalie in Wilcox to help this team take it to the next level,” Schoneck said in a Storm press release. “Adam was a major part of the success in Green Bay over the past year, and split time with a quality goalie in (Ryan) McKay, which allowed him to battle for his time.”

“We expect Adam to be a big addition to the Storm. He adds a little more winning experience to this team, and hope that he and Pheonix will lead this team to more wins overall.”
