O’Donnell (pictured) scored both his team's goals and hit 70 points for the season after accumulating 61 in 53 games last year with the Winnipeg South Blues of the MJHL. The game ended in a tie Friday. In the BCHL, they play five minutes of 4-on-4 hockey, then another five of 3-on-3 play if no one has scored. If the game is still tied after 10 extra minutes, the contest is finished; there is no shootout. Last season there were only seven ties in 510 BCHL games.

Zador got a second straight start for the Attack after stopping 37 of 38 shots in a close win vs. Plymouth his last game. He did not fare nearly as well as Owen Sound was beaten handily by an inferior Erie squad, 6-2, despite only being outshot 25-24. Zador’s personal five game win streak came to an end.

Kings first rounder Brayden Schenn scored his 12th goal in 13 games - a goal that came in overtime Wednesday to thwart a full Tigers comeback and give the Blades a win. Medicine Hat scored twice in the late third to tie the game, including a shorthanded goal with 1:15 to go by California native Emerson Etem. The Ducks first round pick last summer scored twice in the game. He has 32 goals on the year. The Tigers’ Linden Vey, also a Kings pick (4/2009) had three assists in the game to regain the WHL scoring lead with 95 points in 55 games (38 goals).

The Vees gave up leads of 2-0 and 3-1, but still prevailed in overtime. Fresh off a hat trick Saturday night, O’Donnell was held off the scoresheet Sunday.

Panik missed the game with a knee injury. No details have been released on the severity of the injury. He scored a goal in the third period of Saturday night’s game, so if he was hurt, it happened late – or they kept him out as a precaution. It’s all speculation at this point. Guelph put up 50 shots on London Sunday, scoring three times in the third period to erase a 2-0 deficit and steal a win.

Prince George saw their 2-1 third period lead turn into a 3-2 deficit before Connolly scored with just under two minutes left in the game to tie game, and again in overtime to win it for the Cougars. Connolly is up to eighth in the league in goals scored. Undersized center Tyler Johnson of Spokane (undrafted overager) leads with 43. Possible first overall pick in 2011, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, was scoreless Sunday against the Cougars for the Rebels.

Prince George sits in sixth in the Western Conference.

The Vees fell to eight points behind the Vipers for first in the Interior Conference after losing 3-2 Saturday. Although the score was close, the shot count wasn’t – Vernon had 43 shots to just 15 for Penticton. The Vees are now tied with Salmon Arm for second place.

Fargo exacted some revenge on Omaha for the Lancers beating the Force 2-1 Friday night. Mullin had an assist in that game – his first game back from injury – but did not find the scoresheet Saturday. Mullin did not convert his shootout attempt. Fargo won the shootout 1-0 in seven rounds.

Schemitsch broke a three game scoreless streak with an assist on the Attack’s final goal. His career high for assists is 36, set last season in 62 games. This game turned ugly as there were four fights in the last minute of the game, including one after the final horn. Ashton is minus-6 in his last three games.
