RW Brett Connolly, PG: 0-0-0, -5, 6 PIM (hooking, roughing, goaltender interference)
Season totals: 36 GP, 27-17-44, -9, 18 PIM

This game was ugly, with several roughing, unsportsmanlike, and spearing penalties. The Cougars actually outshot the Rockets, but were never really in the game on the scoreboard, getting down 3-0 in the first six minutes. Connolly’s second game back wasn’t a good one on the scoresheet, as he was a team worst minus-5. That set a career low for him for one game. He had a minus-4 game in October 2008. He also set a career high for most penalties in one game.

Newly acquired Blade Brayden Schenn, who started the year with the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings, did not play in this game. He was traded from Brandon earlier in the week. Schenn’s Team Canada (WJC) teammate Curtis Hamilton was named First Star for Saskatoon.
