Florida dropped their sixth in a row, falling to the Road Warriors 4-1 Thursday. The Blades continue to struggle without ECHL leading scorer and Lightning prospect Mitch Fadden in the lineup. Florida, who is now six points behind Greenville in the South Division, has scored one goal in four of their last five games. Janus’ stat line continues to be respectable, but his L-column keeps growing because of the lack of goal support.

Janus put forth another strong effort, but without ECHL leading scorer Mitch Fadden the Everblades could only muster one goal in support of the Slovakian goaltender. For the Everblades to win consistently with Fadden out indefinitely, they’ll have to continue to get stellar efforts from Janus and Bobby Goepfert in net.

Fadden Out Indefinitely

Lightning prospect Mitch Fadden, who is currently leading the ECHL in scoring for the Florida Everblades, will be out indefinitely with a blood clot. The Everblades announcers said during last night's game that Fadden had a clot in his leg and could miss the season. The Lightning confirmed to Bolt Prospects that Fadden does indeed have a clot, and "will be out indefinitely while he is on blood thinner medication."

Fadden, a 2007 fourth round pick of the Lightning, has 15 goals and 36 assists for 51 points in just 37 games this season for Florida.

Edit: Word is Fadden may have a blood clot in his leg and could be lost for the season.

Cincy took their second in a row from the Blades in Florida’s home barn, though Jaroslav Janus put up a good fight for the Blades. His goals against average fell below three for the first time this season. Florida was outshot 44-19 in the 2-1 Cyclone win. Fadden had his six game point streak snapped in the loss. Former Nashville first rounder Chet Pickard picked up the win in net for Cincinnati. He has a 2-6-2 record with Cincinnati to go with a 3.36 GAA and .879 save percentage. The two teams play the third of a three game set Saturday.
