The second period was delayed due to a fire alarm. There’s probably a joke to be made about both goalies being on fire as Plymouth’s Alex Nedeljkovic (2015) stopped 49 of 50 shots and Barrie’s Mackenzie Blackwood (2016) saved 35 of 36.

Dotchin came into the game with just one assist over his last seven games. He earned second star for scoring a goal and adding an assist in a close loss to Dylan Blujus and North Bay. Dotchin is up to 10 goals on the year. His previous career high for a season was four. With the win, North Bay jumped into first in the Central Division, one point ahead of Sudbury and five ahead of Barrie.
