Nikita Kucherov is still looking for his first playoff goal, but had two assists on Tuesday in the Huskies’ Game 3 loss to the Volts. R-N entered the third period down 6-2 but fought back to within one goal with a minute left in the game. They were not able to get the equalizer. Defenseman Mathieu Brisebois (undrafted, signed by Phoenix) had two goals and four points for the Huskies and Matthew Boudens (undrafted) had four goals for Drummondville. Boudens was a teammate of Lightning prospect Matt Peca with Pembroke of the CJHL. Game 4 is Wednesday.

Barrie leads best-of-7 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals, 3-0

Barrie took a commanding 3-0 series lead on the Fronts with a 4-2 win on Monday night. Jake Dotchin, who has played a strong physical series, had his first point of the 2013 post-season and his fourth career post-season point. He had three assists in five games with Owen Sound last year. The Colts can close out the series on Wednesday.

Blujus had a point for the second straight night, but Brampton fell at home to Sudbury despite outshooting the Wolves 34-17. Going back to the regular season, Blujus has a goal and five assists in his last five games. Game 3 is Tuesday in Sudbury.
