With Florida down 1-0 to Kalamazoo in the third period, locked-out NHL defenseman Ryan O'Byrne, by scoring and assisting on a subsequent goal by Matt Marquardt, helped spark a come-from-behind victory in the final few minutes of regulation that extended the Everblades winning-streak to five games. John Muse, who made his fifth-straight start, stopped twenty-four of twenty-five shots in the match. The trio of Lightning prospects (Hutchings, Landry and Milan) barely registered on the stat sheet but were part of a stifling defense that kept the Wings offense in check, especially over the course of the final two frames. With Pat Nagle still out, Florida's equipment manager, John Sellars, served as backup to Muse again. Maxime Langelier-Parent, still out due to injury, were also inactive. Florida (13-8-5, 31 PTS), which has one last game remaining on this seven-game road trip, moves on to face Toledo (15-10-1, 31 PTS), now a divisional-leader in the standings, on Sunday.
