Maxime Langelier-Parent, the game's second star, was back in the lineup for the first time since the second game of the season and helped lead Florida's comeback attempt that came up just short when Trenton's Mike Ullrich scored the game-winner with a half-minute remaining in overtime. The Everblades roared back a 4-1 deficit, scoring two shorthanded goals on the same Trenton power play in the process, in a roughly six-minute span that stretched the tail end of the second period and start of the the final frame. Pat Nagle started but did not factor into the decision as he was pulled just past the halfway point of the match. Alex Hutchings, who now has points in eight of his last nine games he's played in, scored Florida's second shorthanded tally late in the second period to pull the home squad within a goal when, while streaking into the slot, Mike Ratchuk hit him with a feed that he quickly fired past Titans netminder Scott Wedgewood. Defenseman Charles Landry remains in Syracuse with the Crunch. Florida (22-15-8, 52 PTS) closes out its home stand with a Saturday night match against Greenville (28-16-2, 60 PTS), which is currently atop the Souh division standings.
