Orlando came out of the gate strong, taking an early first period lead and outshooting Florida 11-6 but the Everblades were quickly able to counter and later tack on a couple strikes in the middle frame while, buoyed by the solid play of netminder Pat Nagle, keeping the Solar Bears offense at bay for the remainder of the game in order to secure the road win. Nagle, who stopped all but one of thirty-five shots on goal, earned the game's third star. After being held scoreless against Greenville, Alex Hutchings returned to the scoresheet with a helper on Leigh Salters' game-tying goal. Maxime Langelier-Parent and Charles Landry, who remains in Syracuse with the Crunch, were out of the lineup. Florida (23-16-8, 54 PTS) and Orlando (21-23-5, 47 PTS) square off again Friday night at the Amway Center.
