Florida was able to trim a 2-0 deficit late in the second period but Cincinnati responded with another strike before the second intermission and two more goals in the first half of the final frame to put the game out of reach for the hosts. The Everblades outshout the Cyclones 36-28 for the match with the bulk (20) of those chances generated in the second period. With the loss, Florida dropped to fourth-place in the South Division, though it holds three games in hand on Gwinnett and two on both South Carolina and Greenville. Charles Landry was the Lightning's lone prospect in the lineup with Dan Milan a scratch and both Alex Hutchings and Pat Nagle previously recalled to AHL Syracuse. Florida (34-22-11, 79 PTS) and Cincinnati (41-18-8, 90 PTS) take the ice again Saturday night.
