Harju Returned to Norfolk
The Tampa Bay Lightning announced today they've reassigned forward Johan Harju to the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League.
Harju, 6-foot-3, 210 pounds, has played in seven games with the Lightning this season, recording a goal and two points. He has two shots on goal and has averaged 8:01 in ice time. Harju recorded his first NHL point on December 4 against Colorado and notched his first goal in the very next game, December 7 at Calgary.
A native of Overtornea, Sweden, Harju has appeared in 17 games with the Admirals this season in his North American debut, recording 13 goals and 23 points with a plus-7 rating. He leads Norfolk in goals, tied for the lead with three power-play goals and is third overall in points. Harju was named the AHLâ€™s Player of the Week for the period ending November 28 after notching six goals and seven points with a plus-5 rating. He also ranks tied for eighth in the league in goals.
He was selected by the Lightning in the sixth round, 167th overall, of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
