Adam Is In the Doghouse

Unfortunately, Adam has really drawn the ire of the organization over the past couple of seasons primarily because of poor conditioning and preparation habits. As a consequence, he's had quite a few nagging injuries. Also, he's seen as a guy who is very inconsistent in his intensity level when he was on the ice and some of the Johnstown fans I have talked to say Adam carried a poor attitude down to the ECHL with him last season.

From a talent standpoint, his skating has failed to improve over the past few years and he hasn't shown himself to have natural finishing skills at the pro level. He also clings to the perimeter too much.

So the road for him to get back into the good graces of the Lightning is probably a long one. If I had to guess, he'll end up in Johnstown again to start the year and he'll have to show a miraculous turn around to get re-signed next summer.
