** Note: Brett Howden (Moose Jaw) remains away from his WHL team following the 2018 WJC tournament. Libor Hajek has yet to join Regina after being traded by Saskatoon on Monday.

Foote eclipsed last season’s goal scoring totals in 40 fewer games when he scored a power play marker in the 2nd period as part of Kelowna’s 7-goal outburst against the Chiefs. Foote was honored with the game’s First Star, but that might have been due to the captain’s first game back with the Rockets after winning Gold for Canada at the WJCs. Kelowna was paced by two goals and three points from Kyle Topping (undrafted) and by three assists from Carsen Twarynski (PHI, 2016 3rd round pick).

The Warriors reeled off six straight goals after the Hitmen went up 1-0 early in the 1st. Tristan Langan (undrafted) scored four goals for Moose Jaw, including a natural hat trick during the six-goal run. Sosunov notched a power play assist on the Warriors’ 7th goal, scored by Tyler Smithies (undrafted) in the 3rd. Brett Howden has yet to rejoin the Moose Jaw lineup following winning Gold for Canada at the WJCs.
