Walker led the Hornets to a semi-final win over the Orioles, notching a hat trick and adding an assist on Lewis Crosby’s (uncommitted) power play marker. Edina advances to the Minnesota State 6AA high school championship game Wednesday night at Mariucci Arena, home of the Minnesota Gophers men’s college hockey team, in Minneapolis against the Wayzata Trojans. Edina has defeated the Trojans twice during regular season play. It seems fitting that Walker’s last game for the Edina Hornets will be on the ice surface for the team he’ll be playing next fall as a Golden Gopher.
