Quebec Major Junior Hockey League

Drummondville Voltigeurs 3 @ Val-d’Or Foreurs 2

D Artem Sergeev, VDO: 0-0-0, +1, 0 PIM, 5 SOG, 2 Hits
Season totals: 11 GP, 3-6-9, +7, 6 PIM

Artem Sergeev had his point streak snapped at four games as Guy Boucher’s former junior club topped the Foreurs, 3-2. Sergeev is plus-10 in his last five games.

Note: Nikita Kucherov (pictured, Quebec) remains out with a shoulder injury, but was cleared by Lightning doctors yesterday. He is expected back within the next week.

Ontario Hockey League

Brampton Battalion 2 @ Niagara IceDogs 3 (OT)

D Dylan Blujus, BRAM: 0-0-0, -2, 0 PIM
Season totals: 11 GP, 0-3-3, -9, 12 PIM

Brampton outshot the IceDogs 39-26 but came out on the losing end of an overtime decision. Blujus’ scoreless streak reached five games.

Plymouth Whalers 2 @ Peterborough Petes 1

D Slater Koekkoek, PBO: 0-0-0, -1, 0 PIM
Season totals: 11 GP, 2-5-7, -10, 12 PIM

The Petes lost their fourth consecutive one-goal game. Koekkoek is tied for second on the club in points with seven. Center Francis Menard (undrafted) leads with 12. Unfortunately, Koekkoek’s minus-10 rating is worst on the team; the closest to him is minus-5. The Petes are a struggling team and Koekkoek logs significant ice time.
