NHL Game Night: 1-9-20 Coyotes at Lightning

Lightning win streak continues unabated.

Andrei Vasilevskiy stopped all 25 shots he faced for the shutout victory. If there's one thing you can point to that would make this streak the Lightning are on durable for the second half of the year, it's the very real possibility that Vasilevskiy starts playing like the recent Vezina winner that he is. He's had a few one goal games recently, but to break through and get a clean sheet is another big milestone.

NO SCORING

Vasilevskiy, Nikita Kucherov, and Mikhail Sergachev were the game's three stars.

Alex Killorn continues to push us closer to the brink of #EndOfDays, just two goals shy of the 20 goal plateau for the first time in his career.

Having passed Toronto in the standings into second in the Atlantic Division, the Lightning are now seven points back of Boston with a couple of games in hand. It's not un-doable for the team to catch the Bruins in the second half, and that was an unthinkable possibility just 10 games or so ago.

Carter Verheaghe had a shot in 11:46.

Mitchell Stephens had a shot and two hits in 13:04. He was also 57% on 14 draws.
