Despite beating Chicago in the Fall Classic, Fargo opened their season with a tough loss to the Steel. This was Mullin’s first USHL game.

Gatineau scored an upset, beating the CHL’s No.1 ranked team in their own barn. Janosik was credited with two hits.

Ashton (pictured) scored his first of hopefully many goals this year to give Regina an early 1-0 lead, but it was all downhill from there for the Pats.

Connolly set up Oilers second round pick Martin Marincin for a power play goal, but the Cougars fell in their home opener. Connolly has a point in all 3 games so far for PG.

This was a scoreless game at the first intermission, but the Wheat Kings exploded for 7 goals in the second and third periods. David Toews (Islanders – 3rd/2008), Jonathan’s little brother, had 2 goals for Brandon. He left the University of North Dakota after his sophomore year to play in the WHL.
