Season Totals: 2 GP, 1-0-1, E, 0 PIM

Mullin (pictured) scored his first USHL goal early in the third period to give Fargo a short 2-1 lead. The Force would win the game in overtime over Norfolk Head Coach Jon Cooper’s former team. Mullin had a team-leading 5 shots on goal.

QMJHL

Gatineau Olympiques 2 @ Victoriaville Tigres 3
D Adam Janosik, GAT: 0-0-0, E, 0 PIM, 0 SOG
Season Totals: 6 GP, 1-2-3, +3, 0 PIM

A day after beating superpower Drummondville, Gatineau fell to the Tigres in Victoriaville. Janosik was credited with one hit.

OHL

Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds 2 @ Saginaw Spirit 5
D Brock Beukeboom, SSM: 0-0-0, E, 0 PIM
Season Totals: 3 GP, 0-0-0, E, 9 PIM

Beukeboom is still looking for his first point of the season.

Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors 5 @ Belleville Bulls 3
C Richard Panik, BEL: 2-0-2, E, 2 PIM (checking from behind), *Second Star*
Season Totals: 4 GP, 4-1-5, E, 7 PIM

The Bulls fell at home though Lightning prospect Richard Panik scored two goals in the game for the second time in his last three contests. Belleville was outshot 46-26 in the game, including 16-5 in the third period.

Kitchener Rangers 0 @ Owen Sound Attack 4
D Geoffrey Schemitsch, OS: 0-0-0, E, 0 PIM
Season Totals: 4 GP, 1-3-4, +2, 0 PIM

Schemitsch had his first scoreless game of the season, though he helped the Attack hand the high-powered Rangers their first loss of the season. Both teams are 3-1.

WHL

Regina Pats 2 @ Saskatoon Blades 6
RW Carter Ashton, REG: 0-0-0, E, 2 PIM (roughing)
Season Totals: 4 GP, 1-1-2, E, 9 PIM
D Teigan Zahn, SAS: 0-0-0, +2, 2 PIM (delay of game)
Season Totals: 4 GP, 1-0-1, +3, 11 PIM

Ashton and Regina find themselves 1-4 already this year. If the Pats stay at the bottom of the standings all year, Ashton will likely be in a new uniform to end his junior career. Meanwhile, Zahn and Saskatoon are 3-1 to start the season.

Vancouver Giants 3 @ Prince George Cougars 1
RW Brett Connolly, PG: 0-1-1, E, 0 PIM
Season Totals: 4 GP, 2-2-4, -4, 0 PIM

Connolly’s point streak extended to four games, though in a losing cause. The Cougars are 1-3 to start the year. Like Ashton, Connolly could be dealt to a contender later this year if PG is at or near the bottom of the standings. It will be tough for the Cougars to deal a Prince George native, though.
