QMJHL

Cape Breton Screaming Eagles 2 @ Gatineau Olympiques 5

D Adam Janosik, GAT: 0-1-1, E, 2 PIM (hooking), 3 SOG, 1 Hit
Season Totals: 27 GP, 2-16-18, +1, 27 PIM

Gatineau broke a four game losing streak and Janosik snapped a five game scoreless streak as the Olympiques avenged an overtime loss to the Eagles earlier in the week with a 5-2 home win Friday. Emile Poirier (2013 draft) had a hat trick for Gatineau, which doubled the rookie’s goal output for the year. Janosik, as expected, was named to Team Slovakia’s preliminary roster for the upcoming U20 World Junior Championships. He had five assists in six games for Slovakia at last year’s WJCs.

OHL

Peterborough Petes 4 @ London Knights 7
C Vladislav Namestnikov, LDN: 0-4-4, -1, 0 PIM
Season Totals: 30 GP, 16-21-37, +9, 28 PIM

Namestnikov (pictured) tied a career high with four points and his linemate (and Lightning camper) Seth Griffith had a hat trick and an assist to lead London to a 7-4 home win over the Petes. Namestnikov’s four points were a season high for him, but he had a four point game (3+1) last February against Barrie. His four assists in the game were a career high.
