Prince George Cougars 0 @ Spokane Chiefs 8
RW Brett Connolly, PG: 0-0-0, E, 2 PIM (roughing)
Season totals: 49 GP, 36-22-58, -5, 26 PIM

Ouch. Prince George went on the road to meet a streaking Spokane team and watched as the Chiefs built a snowman on the scoreboard. Anthony Bardaro (undrafted) had a hatter for Spokane. Connolly hasn’t registered a point in four games, his longest scoreless streak of the season.

Brandon Wheat Kings 7 @ Saskatoon Blades 6
D Teigan Zahn, SAS: 0-0-0, -2, 0 PIM
Season totals: 62 GP, 3-14-17, +22, 131 PIM

Brandon got some revenge on the WHL’s top team and the CHL’s No.2 team by coming back from a 4-2 deficit after one period and beating the Blades 7-6 in Saskatoon. The Blades had beaten the Wheaties 7-4 earlier this week. David Toews, Jonathan’s brother, scored the game winner with under four minutes to go. Toews left the University of North Dakota after his sophomore season to play Canadian Juniors this year. The Islanders pick has 15 goals and 36 points in 50 games.
