Nikita Kucherov scored a power play goal with 1:39 left in regulation to force overtime and then scored the shootout winner for Russia in their 4-3 win over Switzerland. Andrey Vasilevskiy stopped 4 of 5 in the shootout to seal the win. Nikita Kucherov gets credit for 2 goals, statistically, because shootout winners are counted in Europe. Nikita Nesterov also had a power play helper in the match. Russia moves on to the Semifinal Match against Sweden on Thursday. Switzerland will play Czech Republic in the 5th Place Match on Friday. Switzerland has still not lost in regulation in the tournament, despite only winning once in the Round Robin against Latvia.

Update: Nikita Kucherov (pictured) was named Yahoo Sports' Buzzing the Crease's first star of the day for his effort against the Swiss. Andrey Vasilveskiy earned honorable mention.
