New Year....New Thread?
This is going to be a crazy year for movies, post your reviews to help fellow members from wasting their money and some of your favorite trailers for upcoming features! Words cannot express how excited I am for Prometheus...the "prequel" to Alien that doesn't want to be called the prequel to Alien.
And if you don't get chills when these little furry men sing "Over The Misty Mountains Cold", you don't have a soul.

The Grey is amazing. But be prepared to be thrown off, you'll know what I mean if you see it(or it's been spoiled).
Prometheus I am definitely looking forward to as well as The Hobbit. I heard Chronicle is worth seeing so I'll have to check it out. My guilty pleasure movie choice so far? Battleship. Yes it looks corny but it looks like stupid action much like the last two Transformers movies, but without the anger I feel against the last two Transformers movies for destroying a childhood franchise. OT: Should we make this the media thread(movies+games) or should games get their own thread?

The wife and I saw Chronicle over the weekend. It did nothing for me or her.

Dr. John Watson as Bilbo? That guy is getting some work.
Speaking of which, has anyone been watching Sherlock from BBC? I'm about to tackle the next three movies in the coming days. Really frickin' good series if you haven't watched them yet.

Where are you catching the next 3 movies? I've watched the first set on Netflix, and as a recommendation, Sherlock is one of the best ways to spend a night watching TV. Just a brilliant series. Benedict Cumberbatch (can't make that name up), is perfect as Holmes. He one ups my previous favorite version of the character, Hugh Laurie in House.

Sherlock, IMO, is better than the two movies with Robert Downey, Jr. The cinematography was done very well, I thought, ex., the texts at the police press conference at the beginning of the first episode. Who Moriarty was surprised me... Absolutely brilliant series.
