Why send Downie? That makes little sense to me. He played hard and stood up for his teammates. I am really surprised by this move.

Very mixed feelings. Love Downie, but the return was pretty good.
My fears are that we stockpile picks, get our decent D and Goaltender, and are stuck with an offense that is severely lacking after getting rid of all our Downies/Moores. Sort of like a Bizzaro version of our current team. This is the offseason where we see what Yzerman is made of, that's for sure. |
