Wow, just wow. I was shocked to learn that the NFL had been conducting an investigation into the coaches rewarding players you injured other players. If the other teams players had to be taken off the field by cart it was reported that the defensive player got $1000 cash. Knock a player out and you got $1500.
Here's hoping the NFL sends a strong message to New Orleans in the way of fines, lost of picks and some suspensions. |

It would be naive to think they are the only ones.

For real. I thought there was another team this past season who got accused of this?

Coach Gregg Williams was the one that implemented the reward system. The NFL reports that they found out that he had a similar system when he was with Washington.

It wasn't an accusation, the Eagles flat out did it against the Cowboys during the Buddy Ryan years. The "Bounty Bowl" featured a hit being put out on Dallas' kicker, who was promptly injured in the game. Jimmy Johnson damned near challenged Ryan to a fight after the game.

Suggs came out last year and hinted at putting Bounties on injuring Ward and Mendenhall last year.
This is a joke. How is this that much worse than Bellicheck cheating and ruining the integrity of the game? |

From what I've heard on the radio this morning, it seems the punishment is more for repeatedly lying to the commish when call on the carpet and stating they (the coaching staff) would address it and then doing the opposite. The bounties themselves are more just a symptom of that bigger issue.

Really? Paying somebody to injure another person is a felony, whether on the field, in the stands, on the street, or in your neighborhood.
