Summer Movie listing from the Times

Typical summer fare. Saw the trailer for Prometheus, looked pretty decent.

I saw The Avengers tonight. I'm not really into comic book heroes, but I thought it was a good movie. For a comic book fan, it must be a real treat.

Avengers was fantastic, so happy for Joss Whedon.

I know I shouldn't take logic into superhero movies, but this is the 2nd "main" Marvel movie to visit New York City (the other is The Incredible Hulk). And I couldn't help but wonder....where the hell is Spider Man? Does he have a clause in his contract that whenever other superheros come to town he gets to slack off?

I mean I realize he isn't an Avenger (yet...), but with the new Spider Man movie coming out soon I was positive we would have seen at least a few webs around NY.

Shame on your laziness Peter Parker!

I think the rights to Spider man is held by another film studio or so I have read somewhere. We went to the Imax 3d version of Avengers yesterday. I liked it but my sons loved it. I was a captain America fan as a kid and liked the transformation to the screen.
