Yep, elbow to the face = suspension.

Ha, good luck. Green got what, two games and he is a repeat offender. Keith might get a game if the wheel falls right.

Sedin is out at least 2 weeks with a concussion they say, so I expect Keith to get more than a game. IMO, bring this suspensions back up to where they were at the beginning of the season. Give him 5 (won't happen, I know.)

Yeah, good luck with that one. Like I said, repeat offender deliberate target, can't get half that.

Not necessarily, Ryan O'Reilly got smashed in the nose with a high stick, while he was shooting, about 3 feet from the crease and all four zebra's didn't even give Giordano of the Flames a second look, much less a penalty.

Another good advertisement for face shields. But the officiating in this league is beyond abominable. If enough fans insisted on it--we pay the bills, after all--they could definitely change the rule to allow the use of video replay to find out why a man's face is gashed open, his blood covering the ice, and if it's an opponent who is responsible, issue the appropriate penalty. Not to determine the cause of an obvious injury like that is inexcusable.
And what's with the color guy bashing Kipper for having "the gall" to ask for the scrapers to come and remove the player's bodily fluids caking up in his crease? That's standard safety procedure.

This is all from Bob McKenzie's twitter last night, I put it in readable order.
Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie Rather strange proceedings going on with the Duncan Keith discipline hearing for his elbow on Daniel Sedin. League apparently indicated to CHI and Keith earlier today the hearing would be over phone (5 or less games). Hours later, NHL indicated it wanted an in person (potential to suspend for 6 or more) hearing instead. Duncan Keith has not agreed to waive his right to an in person hearing but neither has the in person hearing been confirmed. |

Ok, more realistically, I wonder if finding out how long Sedin was going to be out (at least weeks, not necessarily a specified number) changed his mind? ![]()
