And this ownership will have made it 50% of the time.

Are Vinik and SFY to be blamed for the performance of the past owners?

mr. boucher please let vinny play every game at least 20 minutes+. the more vinny plays, the better he plays, he gets more confidence.
and than his contract doesn't seem that bad

Honestly, We are right there after this streak we have had if we had capable defense. You may fault Garon on one of those, but the defense let him down completely on at least 2, and honestly it could have been more. I have never been more disgusted with a defense than I am with ours. I'm sorry, I know a lot of people love Gilroy, but that guy has been worse that worthless for the past 4-5 games. And for as much as I thought Brewer was supposed to be the big physical dman I have always wanted, I don't remember the last time he cleared the crease. And I could go on and on, but why waste my breath?

Nice to see Vinny looking as good as he has been. That guy is putting us on his back and going. Glad to get the PP goal, but I think it is far from fixed. They still do not move on the PP, and it almost seems like they never have anything planned for it, which is weird with how Guy runs the mental side of the game. I mean, previously they always had ways of setting up Stamkos in his spot. This year, they don't have any idea how to do that, nor do they really even have an understanding of if they should be skating in, dumping in, or who to pass the puck to.

This. Also, good point on the icing as the clock ran out. Rangers dodged a major bullet there.

Hooray for the PP unit...pluh to the PK. Letting in that PPG when the Rags were on a 1-for-34 skid (?) without a 5-on-4 goal in 14 games, felt like 'Uh-oh,...now watch them lose by one.' That was no foul at all anyway, the phantom hooking on Shannon was either a dive or the ref could've just let it go as "he was falling anyway". Lame, weak, soft, ticky-tack, rinky-dink, little mickey-mouse call, ends up the difference in the game. Straight out of Hockey: How Not to Referee, Official 2012 Edition, Lesson 386.

This is another tough loss I will not lay at the skates of Garon. He played just fine, as we got outshot massively yet got out a point out of MSG--never an easy task. I don't think any of the four goals you can blame him for...he had no realistic chance on any of them IMO.

It's a game of bounces, and this was one of those games where their backup goalie got plenty of help from 'Iron Man'. Same as last game. These five points we've pissed away over the past few games may seal the "deal" (pun definitely intended). Or was it those puny little onesy-twosy points strewn by the wayside back in November/December, the ones we said would come back to bite them in the ass?

Oh please, this is the same old tune. We have had 4 other owners that asked us to sit through the rough times. This is now owner #5. You can do just what SY is doing, let the kids mature in the AHL. But in the meantime you need to sign players that can play, not some has been from another team.

All I am saying is that this is an owner that elected to go with those on the ice and they have made a huge mistake.

And I am saying that as someone that goes to every game over the years I am sick of it. I am sick of players that can't play being placed on the ice and I am sick of players that can play, but won't every night.

Sucks to lose for so freakin' long but I'm still willing to give Yzerman and Vinik more time. I trust they have a plan in place and by not trading away draft picks and prospects, I'm looking forward to it.

Besides, we will always have a Cup.

Meanwhile, does Clark know how to stop a 2 on 1? The last OT game (Jets) he was caught between taking out the pass and the shot and not being effective on either. Same thing happened last night. Granted, the Rangers made a great play to end it, but I wish Clark would have taken that pass and given Garon the shot.

Right before Gervais scored his goal I was thinking the team was set up much differently on the PP. It seemed like everyone was overloaded to the left side and the Rangers were confused as to who had who for their assignments. Gervais squeaked in and got that golden opportunity. I liked it. Let's hope the team continues to set up in different ways to confused their opponents more. Ok, now that I've said all that, watch that set up be a complete accident...

So yeah... Dumba... Trouba... I should probably look at the forwards to be drafted... Murray...

I haven't had a referee rant recently, but here it goes. Whoever phoned-in and told the refs to swallow the whistle in the 3rd period need to go die in a fire. A f*ing tragedy how much blatant BS they didn't call. Is there ever going to be consistant refereeing?

Yeah, it was a little one-sided in that game... Moore got boarded and now everyone is pissed at his hit on Fedotenko? What about Eminger's knee on him earlier (I know, got called, but as a trip)?

You will see consistent refereeing in 'rassling before you see it in the NHL.

Boy I still can't figure out what hurt him there. It was just a slight shrug, and it looked like a shrug into his shoulder. I thought it was a complete dive til he never came back.

Wish I could have seen why Hedman got 2 with Prust when it was obvious Prust was going at him on multiple shifts.

And for the record, the refs didn't swallow the wistles in the 3rd, they only swallowed them when it would have benefitted us.
