    SM-Liiga (Finland)
    Ilves 1 vs. HIFK 0

    Anders Lindback, Ilves, W, 0.00 GAA, 24/24 (1.000 SV%)
    Season totals: 13 GP, 4-6-3, 3 SO, 2.33 GAA, 412/443 (.930 SV%)

Michael Keranen's goal in the third period proved to be all Ilves needed Saturday night as Anders Lindback, who had a relatively light workload, registered his third shutout in his last four starts to down HIFK. With his recent stretch, Lindback's numbers have shot well into the mix of the league's top goalies, all despite backstopping a club beset by defensive and offensive inconsistency. It's an especially encouraging development for an NHL organization that's been looking for a solution in net it hasn't had, aside from the body of work Dwayne Roloson provided for a few months in the second half of the 2010-2011 regular season and playoffs, in nearly a decade and has staked it's hopes in the near term to the young Swede. Ilves (6-16-3-5, 29 points) now has to wait over a week before resuming action against SaiPa (14-9-5-3, 55 points) on Tuesday, December 18th.

Banska Bystrica (12-13-4-1, 45 PTS), which boasts NHLers Tanner Glass, Michal Handzus and Stoner in addition to Tyrell, next faces Nitra (15-8-5-2, 57 PTS), currently the second-place team in the league standings, at home on Sunday.
