    Quebec Major Junior Hockey League

Halifax Mooseheads 2 @ Saint John Sea Dogs 4

    W/C Jonathan Drouin, HAL: 0-0-0, E, 2 SOG, 4 PIM, 1 Hit
    2011-2012 Season: 49 GP, 41-64-105, +48, 32 PIM

Drouin made his season debut after somewhat surprisingly being sent back to juniors by the Lightning. This summer’s third overall pick played top line center, winning half of his 30 faceoffs. He wore an alternate captain’s A. He was played at center for the first half of the Lightning's training camp in order to give him a crash course in NHL 2-way play and also because centers have the puck on their stick more than wingers and Coach Jon Cooper wanted the play going through Drouin. It's hard to imagine Drouin's ultimate future isn't on the wing next to Steven Stamkos, however. The CHL’s top player last season, Drouin could match last year’s two points-per-game rate, though he doesn’t have linemates Nathan MacKinnon (Avalanche) and Martin Frk (Red Wings – AHL Grand Rapids) beside him anymore.

    Drummondville Voltigeurs 4 @ Quebec Remparts 1

    W Adam Erne, QUE: 0-0-0, -2, 5 PIM, 6 SOG, 2 Hits
    Season totals: 4 GP, 4-1-5, E, 9 PIM

Quebec continues to struggle at home, losing 4-1 to the Volts on Tuesday. They’ve been outscored 15-3 in their last two home games. Erne again took the majority of Quebec’s faceoffs though he is still listed at wing. He is now scoreless in two games after four goals in his first two games of the season.

    2012-13 totals: 66 GP, 4-18-22, E, 81 PIM

Dotchin scored his first goal of the year and extended his point streak to start the season to three games, but Barrie fell to Sudbury, 5-3. The Wolves scored four times in the third period to claim the win. Last year it took Dotchin 10 games to score his first goal.

He is expected to be a point producer on a maturing Kingston squad.
