Make that four goals in four games for the Lightning’s 2016 first rounder, Brett Howden. The Moose Jaw captain was one of four Warriors to score in the first two periods as they built a 4-0 lead. Medicine Hat scored three times in under a minute early in the third period, then tied and won the game. That won’t sit well with the Moose Jaw faithful. OHL Note: Mitchell Stephens was assigned to Saginaw by the Lightning Sunday. He, Cirelli, Joseph, and Ingram are expected to push for spots on Team Canada for World Juniors.

He is an alternate captain for the Sea Dogs. Joseph does not have a letter.

    Shawinigan Cataractes 7 @ Rimouski Oceanic 2

    W Dennis Yan, SHAW: 0-1-1, E, 2 PIM, 1 SOG, 0 Hits

Cirelli and Spencer made their season debuts after some preseason time in Tampa, and Cirelli’s Gens beat Spencer’s Petes, 4-1. Cirelli, Oshawa’s captain and clear leader, scored his first of the season. Oshawa was rebuilding last year and should be fairly solid this year. Spencer is a leader for Peterborough and should improve on his modest offensive numbers next to Dominik Masin last year. The Petes beat the Gens 4-1 on Wednesday when both Cirelli and Spencer were in Florida.
