    D Daniel Milan, MON: 0-0-0, -1, 0 PIM, 2 SOG, 0 Hits
    Season Totals: 16 GP, 0-3-3, -5, 13 PIM

Milan has only registered one point in his last 14 games. Playing in a pair with Coyotes first rounder Brandon Gormley, he’s the more stay-at-home of the two, but there are opportunities for points.

    OHL

Owen Sound Attack 5 @ Kingston Frontenacs 3

    D Geoffrey Schemitsch, OS: 0-2-2, +2, 0 PIM
    Season Totals: 18 GP, 0-8-8, +1, 14 PIM

After starting the season slowly, Schemitsch (pictured) has at least a point in four of his last six games. He is on pace for 28 assists this season, which would beat last year’s mark of 20, but fall short of his career high of 36 set in his rookie/draft year.

    Season Totals: 4-2-0, 2.67 GAA, .906 sv%, 1 SO

    Season Totals: 18 GP, 10-11-21, +9, 18 PIM

London scored three times in the first period, then held on for a 4-3 win against the league’s worst team. Namestnikov had what turned out to be the game winning goal when he scored his 10th of the season late in the second period to give the Knights a 4-1 lead. He now has at least a point in seven of his last eight games.

Owen Sound Attack 1 @ Belleville Bulls 2

    Season Totals: 15 GP, 0-3-3, -4, 13 PIM

Milan has only registered a point in one of his last 13 games. He had a quiet night on the scoresheet Friday, but is no doubt happy Moncton got a win in Halifax.

    QMJHL

    Chicoutimi Sagueneens 3 @ Moncton Wildcats 5

    D Daniel Milan, MON: 0-0-0, +1, 0 PIM, 0 SOG, 0 Hits
    Season Totals: 14 GP, 0-3-3, -4, 13 PIM

Milan has only registered a point in one of his last 12 games – a two helper game October 21 vs. the Sags. He had 38 points as a rookie last season. One concerning stat is he has only 13 shots in 14 games. For a two-way defenseman, more is expected.

    OHL

Sarnia Sting 2 @ London Knights 3 (SO)
    C Vladislav Namestnikov, LDN: 0-0-0, -1, 0 PIM
    Season Totals: 16 GP, 9-10-19, +8, 14 PIM

Yakubov is expected to go first or second in next summer’s NHL entry draft. He has 34 points (12 goals) in 16 games so far this season to lead the OHL. Namestnikov is tied for 17th in the league in points. Namestnikov did not participate in the shootout as it was over after three shooters.

    Season Totals: 15 GP, 0-5-5, -1, 12 PIM

    USHL

Green Bay Gamblers 4 @ Sioux City Musketeers 1

G Adam Wilcox, GB: Did not play (backup)
    Season Totals: 3-1-0, 3.26 GAA, .885 sv%, 0 SO

Wilcox sat backup to Ryan McKay for the second night in a row. Green Bay is running with ECHL All-Star McKay (and rightly so), therefore Wilcox’s best chance for meaningful starts may be a trade. McKay was "supposed" to be at Miami-Ohio right now, but Miami's departing goaltender decided not to depart. The trickle-down effect has Wilcox watching games instead of backstopping one of the USHL's top teams.

    QMJHL

    Rouyn-Noranda Huskies 1 @ Gatineau Olympiques 6

    D Adam Janosik, GAT: 0-0-0, E, 2 PIM (hooking), 2 SOG, 0 Hits
    Season Totals: 13 GP, 0-9-9, -2, 13 PIM

Gatineau is starting to find their groove at home with two big wins in two nights. Janosik is scoreless in four of his last five games after notching an assist in four of the five games before this latest streak.

    OHL

Oshawa Generals 2 @ Owen Sound Attack 6

D Geoffrey Schemitsch, OS: 0-1-1, +1, 4 PIM (holding, holding the stick)
    Season Totals: 14 GP, 0-5-5, -1, 12 PIM

Schemitsch (pictured) has a two-game point streak. He has eight penalty minutes in those two games after coming into the weekend with just four on the year.

    USHL

Green Bay Gamblers 4 @ Fargo Force 1

G Adam Wilcox, GB: Did not play (backup)
    Season Totals: 3-1-0, 3.26 GAA, .885 sv%, 0 SO

After two straight starts last weekend, Wilcox sat backup to Ryan McKay, who stopped 26 of 27 shots in a road win over Fargo.

    QMJHL

    Drummondville Voltigeurs 0 @ Gatineau Olympiques 3

    D Adam Janosik, GAT: 0-0-0, +1, 0 PIM, 1 SOG, 0 Hits
    Season Totals: 12 GP, 0-9-9, -2, 11 PIM

The Volts thought they had a chance to get both Sean Couturier and Ondrej Palat back this season, but with Palat signed by the Lightning and Couturier now staying in Philadelphia with the Flyers, they won’t get either.

    PEI Rocket 3 @ Moncton Wildcats 2

    D Daniel Milan, MON: 0-0-0, E, 0 PIM, 1 SOG, 0 Hits
    Season Totals: 13 GP, 0-3-3, -5, 13 PIM

Despite playing most of the year with Coyotes first rounder Brandon Gormley (12 points in 13 games) on the back line, Milan is having a slow start to the year statistically. Dane Phaneuf, brother of the Leafs’ Dion Phaneuf, had an assist for PEI in the game Friday.

    OHL

Owen Sound Attack 2 @ London Knights 3 (OT)

D Geoffrey Schemitsch, OS: 0-1-1, -1, 4 PIM (closing hand on puck, hooking)
    Season Totals: 13 GP, 0-4-4, -2, 8 PIM
    C Vladislav Namestnikov, LDN: 0-2-2, +1, 0 PIM
    Season Totals: 15 GP, 9-10-19, +9, 14 PIM

In the first match-up of Lightning prospects in the OHL this season, Vladislav Namestnikov (pictured) set up two goals, including the overtime winner, as London beat Geoffrey Schemitsch and Owen Sound 3-2. Both of Namestnikov’s assists came on goals by Lightning prospect camp participant Seth Griffith. Namestnikov has three multi-point games in a row now, and a five game point streak overall.

    OHL

London Knights 4 @ Kitchener Rangers 5 (SO)

C Vladislav Namestnikov, LDN: 2-0-2, +2, 0 PIM, *Second Star*
    Season Totals: 14 GP, 10-7-17, +8, 14 PIM

Namestnikov scored twice in 31 seconds in the third period – the first of which was highlight reel material – to bring the Knights back from a 4-2 deficit to force overtime. After OT finished without a winner, Namestnikov was London’s last shooter and needed to convert to extend the shootout one more round, but did not score. He has four goals and five points in his last two games and seven points in his last four. He is on pace for 48 goals. Namestnikov scored 30 last season.

The Armada scored in the game’s final minute to steal a 5-4 win over the Wildcats. Milan was on the ice for the game winner in a penalty killing role.

    OHL

    London Knights 6 @ Windsor Spitfires 3

    C Vladislav Namestnikov, LDN: 2-1-3, E, 0 PIM
    Season Totals: 13 GP, 8-7-15, +6, 14 PIM

Namestnikov (pictured) scored London’s final two goals to clinch a 6-3 win for the Knights in a tough barn. Stars first rounder Jack Campbell stopped 32 of 38 for the Spits.

Sudbury Wolves 2 @ Owen Sound Attack 1 (SO)

    D Geoffrey Schemitsch, OS: 0-0-0, E, 0 PIM
    Season Totals: 12 GP, 0-3-3, -1, 4 PIM

Another loss for the defending OHL champs, who dropped to 6-8-0-1 on the year, nine points behind Namestnikov and London for first in the Midwest Division.

    QMJHL

    Gatineau Olympiques 2 @ Chicoutimi Sagueneens 5

    Moncton Wildcats 6 @ Drummondville Voltigeurs 2

    D Daniel Milan, MON: 0-0-0, +1, 2 PIM (high sticking), 2 SOG, 0 Hits
    Season Totals: 11 GP, 0-3-3, -5, 13 PIM

Milan couldn’t build on a two-assist game Friday statistically on Saturday, but his Wildcats got a big win over Guy Boucher’s former team, 6-2. The Wildcats scored four third period goals to claim the victory.

    OHL

Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 7 @ Owen Sound Attack 4

    D Geoffrey Schemitsch, OS: 0-0-0, E, 0 PIM
    Season Totals: 11 GP, 0-3-3, -1, 4 PIM

A tough home loss for Owen Sound to Wayne Gretzky’s OHL alma mater. Gemel Smith (2012 eligible), a 5’9” forward for the Attack, had a goal and three assists in the game for First Star honors despite the loss.
