    O’Donnell (pictured) scored both his team's goals and hit 70 points for the season after accumulating 61 in 53 games last year with the Winnipeg South Blues of the MJHL. The game ended in a tie Friday. In the BCHL, they play five minutes of 4-on-4 hockey, then another five of 3-on-3 play if no one has scored. If the game is still tied after 10 extra minutes, the contest is finished; there is no shootout. Last season there were only seven ties in 510 BCHL games.

Montreal leads the TELUS West Division with 86 points, five more than Drummondville. They have clinched a playoff spot. Only St. John (95) has more points in the Q.

    Kings first rounder Brayden Schenn scored his 12th goal in 13 games - a goal that came in overtime Wednesday to thwart a full Tigers comeback and give the Blades a win. Medicine Hat scored twice in the late third to tie the game, including a shorthanded goal with 1:15 to go by California native Emerson Etem. The Ducks first round pick last summer scored twice in the game. He has 32 goals on the year. The Tigers’ Linden Vey, also a Kings pick (4/2009) had three assists in the game to regain the WHL scoring lead with 95 points in 55 games (38 goals).

    Ashton scored for the second straight game, but the Americans lost the shootout 2-0 and the game 3-2. He did not participate in the shootout. Ashton, who scored on the power play, has goals in consecutive games after going seven games without a goal. With the goal he matched his point total from his draft year at 50 and is within one point of his career high, set last year with Lethbridge and Regina. His career high for goals in 30, set in his draft year with the Hurricanes.

Guelph put up 50 shots on London Sunday, scoring three times in the third period to erase a 2-0 deficit and steal a win.

Connolly is up to eighth in the league in goals scored. Undersized center Tyler Johnson of Spokane (undrafted overager) leads with 43. Possible first overall pick in 2011, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, was scoreless Sunday against the Cougars for the Rebels.

    Connolly set a new career high for goals in a season with 32 as the Cougars snapped a three game losing streak. His goals Friday came 12 seconds apart, the first on a rebound, then after stealing a pass at center ice, he scored on a wrist shot from the right circle. Prince George sits in sixth in the Western Conference.

    Blades captain Teigan Zahn scored his third goal of the season, helping Saskatoon to their 10th win a row. The Blades lead the league point race by seven over Red Deer and have already clinched a playoff spot.

    Panik’s 25th goal of the season gave the Storm a 2-1 lead midway through the second period, but the Petes’ Austin Watson (Predators 2010 first rounder) scored his 23rd a minute later to tie the game and Peterborough went on to claim a 5-3 win. Guelph has lost three in a row and has fallen three points behind Erie for 7th in the Western Conference. They’re comfortably in the playoffs right now, nine points up on Sarnia. As of right now they’d play Owen Sound in the first round.

    Schemitsch had his brief point streak snapped at two games, but that's not all that was broken. A Bayshore Broadcasting report states Schemitsch went down with what's being called a broken arm or wrist. He'll miss the next 6-8 weeks of play. Predators 2009 first rounder Ryan Ellis was First Star in a losing effort, with a goal and three assists for Windsor. Spits goalie Jack Campbell, a Stars first rounder in 2010, was pulled after giving up three goals in 18 minutes. Campbell’s record is 17-11-1-2. He has a 3.85 GAA and .884 save percentage on the year.
