Point can join the Syracuse Crunch when his season is over.

    DeAngelo was first star, scoring twice and adding an assist to extend his point streak to 18 games. The streak is the second-longest active streak in the league behind Connor McDavid’s 24-game streak. It’s the longest streak by a defenseman this season in the OHL. DeAngelo also set a new career high for points in a season tonight. The Soo was missing five veteran players in Friday’s game, but extended their win streak to eight games.

    Meanwhile, Cristiano DiGiacinto scored on a 2 on 1 to establish a new career high for goals in a season. He's been a consistent scorer this year even without the traded Josh Ho Sang beside him.

The younger Connolly, who went undrafted last year, is an offensive defenseman who was traded from Kamloops to his hometown Cougars a few weeks ago. He has 11 goals and 34 assists for 45 points in 52 games. The 5’11” righty had 45 points last year with Kamloops in 72 games, along with a minus-35 rating. He’s a combined minus-19 this year.
