    Janosik’s second goal of the year turned out to be the insurance goal as Gatineau cruised to a 6-2 win over Halifax despite only outshooting them 23-20.

    Belleville climbed out of last place with a big home win over East Division-leading Ottawa. The Bulls won only their third game of the year. Panik is sixth in the league in points, but just four points behind the leader, Owen Sound’s Garrett Wilson (Panthers, 4th, 2009).

    A huge night for O’Donnell, who was named the game’s First Star. Victoria had a 2-0 lead in this game before O’Donnell scored his first. His second goal was the eventual game winner.

    Zador stopped the first four shooters in the shootout before giving up the eventual game winner. His numbers aren’t great, but he’s been the Gens’ undisputed No.1 so far.

The Regina newspaper reported this week it’s not a matter of “if,” but “when” and “where” Ashton gets traded within the WHL, but Regina needs for him to play to his 1st round capabilities so they can maximize the return for their rebuilding effort. Regina is tied for the fewest points in the league with Kelowna at 2-7-1-1.
