    OHL

Oshawa Generals 2 @ Belleville Bulls 1 (SO)
G Michael Zador, OSH: Win, 23 saves on 24 shots
    Season Totals: 15 GP, 7-7-1-0, 3.48 GAA, .893 sv%, 1 SO
RW Kyle DeCoste, BEL: Did not play.
    Season Totals: 16 GP, 3-3-6, +1, 20 PIM
    With Bulls: 3 GP, 1-2-3, +3, 0 PIM
    With SSM: 13 GP, 2-1-3, -2, 20 PIM

Zador broke a personal seven game losing streak, though he was named a game star in his last appearance. Hopefully this sparks him on another win streak. The lone goal against him was kind of a fluke as he had the puck covered in a goal-mouth scramble, but no whistle was blown. He raised his blocker off the ice to see if the puck was under it, which it was, and a Bull poked it home. It looked like the ref should have blown the whistle (see Bulls highlights below). Zador stopped four of five shooters to secure the shootout win. No word yet why DeCoste missed the game.

    Saginaw Spirit 2 @ Erie Otters 5
G Jaroslav Janus, ERIE: Win, 27 saves on 29 shots, 2 PIM (delay of game)
    Season Totals: 2 GP, 2-0-0, 2.50 GAA, .909 sv%
    With Norfolk (AHL): 2 GP, 0-2-0, 1.52 GAA, .939 sv%

Janus moved to 2-0 since his return to the OHL from AHL Norfolk. Erie scored four times in the third period to get the win.

    D Mark Barberio, MCT:0-1-1, +1, 2 PIM, 2 SOG
    Season Totals: 19 GP, 2-12-14, +5, 22 PIM

Moncton played their first game since October 29 thanks to a flu-cancelled game against Montreal and a long layoff. The Wildcats lost the shootout 2-1 after leading 1-0 at the completion of round 1.

    WHL

    Calgary Hitmen 2 @ Lethbridge Hurricanes 3
RW Carter Ashton, LET: 1-0-1, +1, 4 PIM (roughing, tripping)
    Season Totals: 19 GP, 10-12-22, -5, 38 PIM

Ashton extended his point streak to seven games with his 10th goal of the season as the Hurricanes beat first place Calgary 3-2. Lethbridge was 0-7 on the power play compared to Calgary’s 2-5. The Hurricanes, who won their third game in a row, climbed out of the cellar with the win and now stand at 8-11-2-0 on the year, 14 points behind Calgary in the Central Division.

    Minnesota Red 10 vs. Shattuck-St. Mary’s 3 (Championship)
    D Kirill Gotovets, S-SM: 0-0-0, 0 PIM
    Season Totals: 14 GP, 2-3-5, 33 PIM

Shattuck advanced to the Bauer NIT Tournament (New Hope, Minnesota) championship game with an 8-1 win over the Dallas Stars and a 7-1 win over the MDHL U-18 White team. They fell hard to a good Minnesota Red squad in the finals, 10-3. Warroad HS senior and North Dakota commit Brock Nelson, a possible Mr. Hockey candidate in Minnesota, had a hat trick for Red. Gotovets, a Cornell commit, played in two of the three games and did not register a point.
