    The No. 1 Gophers spotted that school in Ohio with a 2-0 lead before taking their lunch money and winning, 4-2. Wilcox won his 16th of the season, which is third-best in the country.

    Minnesota scored three times in the final period en route to a 5-2 win and 2-game sweep over Penn State. Best sign of the night was the PSU fan calling Happy Valley “Hockey Valley.” Well done. Wilcox stopped 34 of 36 shots, including a short-handed breakaway when the game was 2-0 early in the third.

    Minnesota made its first visit to State College and defeated Penn State, 3-2. Wilcox won his 13th game of the season, which is tied for third in the country. The Gophers improved to a conference-leading 4-0-1 in the Big 10. PSU is pointless in conference at 0-3.
