On a related note, Lightning Head Scout Jake Goertzen, when asked to give the scouting staff's impression of Lightning draftees at the recent prospect camp (aside from Kevin Quick, who was singled out for his good play by General Manager Jay Feaster), gave high marks to goaltender Karri Ramo and defenseman Matt Smaby. He singled out Maine defenseman Mike Lundin as being "solid," and said Springfield signee Ryan Gibbons "was impressive in his role." Goertzen confirmed that Marek Kvapil, who had a "decent" camp, has added a few pounds, weighing in at 192 (he was listed at 172 by the Falcons last year), and said Kvapil had a "decent" camp. Recently signed center Blair Jones received a "good" rating, but other recently signed junior stars Justin Keller, Radek Smolenak, and Stan Lascek "did not hit stride." Goertzen clarified, saying, "They were okay, just not as good as they can be." *=Springfield Falcons Contract Player **=Free Agent Invitee

I got the 15 forwards

I got the 15 forwards right. Not so good on the defensemen however although I'm glad they're going to try and get an exemption for Atherton to play. I'm shocked Beech isn't on the original list to go. If he doesn't play, I'm feeling dispair at my chances in my contract year if I'm in his shoes.
