Erik Erlendsson writes in today's Trib that LW/C Nick Tarnasky may have "the inside track" for the still open fourth line job alongside Tim Taylor and Rob DiMaio. Tarnasky's physical style may appeal to the Lightning more so than the finesse games of competitors Eric Perrin and Norm Milley and while Milley and Perrin have shown offensive spark in the preseason Tarnasky's fight against Brad Norton in the game against Detroit may be the defining moment that puts him over the top. Tarnasky, a 2003 9th round pick, played in a dozen games for the Lightning last season registering 1 assist. He finished the year rated #6 in Bolt Prospects' Final Rankings and was a consensus choice as the prospect most likely to make the Lightning this season by the Bolt Prospects staff.
