NHL Central Scouting Releases Preliminary Rankings

On Wednesday, the NHL's Central Scouting Service released its Preliminary Rankings for the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. Among those highlighting the list are top QMJHL player Angelo Esposito of the Quebec Remparts and top Russian star Alexei Cherepanov of Omsk.

Any thoughts on how Tampa

Any thoughts on how Tampa might go with their first rounder (which might just be top 10 with the way they're playing, but that's another topic) position wise? Last time we picked a forward with our first pick was Svitov(?). Or do they usually go BPA?

Well, they've said they wanted a forward the last two years only to pick a d-man and a goalie. At some point, they'll actually stick to the plan.
