According to TSN.ca, former Lightning goaltender Sean Burke has retired.

Yahoo! Sports is reporting former Bolt Jassen Cullimore has been invited to the Red Wings' training camp. Cullimore and Nolan Pratt were rumored to be a considerations for the Lightning's No.6/7 defenseman spots before Tampa Bay decided they'd let younger players battle it out. There remains/remained a possibility that Pratt or Cullimore could be signed late in camp if none of the youngsters impressed enough to earn a spot.

Also, Jay Feaster's first draft pick as Lightning GM, Adam Henrich, is camping with the Philadelphia Flyers.

Denis Packard, a 2001 Lighting 7th rounder and former Springfield Falcon, is camping with the San Jose Sharks. After being let go by Tampa Bay, Packard joined the Bruin's organization last year where he scored 6 goals and 18 points in 68 games with Providence.

Former Lightning tough guy Gordie Dwyer is trying out with the New York Islanders and Shane Willis has signed a two-way deal with Nashville.

Gerald Coleman, a goaltender swapped to Anaheim as part of the Shane O'Brien trade last year, appears to have survived the Ducks' first round of cuts.

Mitch Fritz, a fan favorite heavyweight traded to the New York Rangers for defenseman Bryce Lampman this summer, was assigned to Hartford (AHL) by the Rangers.

Andre Deveaux, traded to Atlanta in the Kyle Wanvig deal, was assigned to Chicago (AHL) by the Thrashers.

Daniel Corso, acquired from Philadelphia last fall for Darren Reid (who remains in camp with the Flyers), signed with the Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod of the Vysshaya League West (Russia) earlier this month. Corso was an offensive leader for the Falcons (AHL) last year.
