Courtnall’s unassisted shorthanded goal early in the third period proved to be the game winner for Victoria.

One night after losing 8-2 in Newfoundland, Lewiston squeaked by the Fog Devils in a shootout 2-1.

Portland Winter Hawks 1 @ Seattle Thunderbirds 3

Helenius sat on the bench and watched his back-up, Jacob DeSerres, stop 14 of 15 shots as Seattle outshot Portland 59-15 on their way to a home win over the Winter Hawks. Helenius will likely play today (Sunday) in Kootenay.
