Silver Lining

  • Tampa Bay Lightning

With tonight's loss and LA's win, the Lightning moved into the top spot in the Steve Stamkos sweepstakes, although they have a game in hand on the Kings.

O'Brien

Submitted by matts24 on 23 March 2008 - 7:47am.

I'm sorry, but anyone who defends O'Brien anymore is just watching a different game. He is horrible. Defiantly not worth anything close to a 1st rd pick. He must have been burnt 4-5 times last night by wings streaking right by him.( its been happening all year) It's like having a young Kubina, in terms of skating, all over again. For those of you who choose not to remember, Kubina was a horrible skater for the first 3-5 years and still has issues skating backwards. If O'Brien somehow survives a new GM coming in here, he had better have to start as the 6th D-man and work his way back up. Having Ranger hurt is only going to expose OB more the rest of the season. His play last night was about as pathetic an effort to play D as I've ever seen. Zero physical play and bad decisions all night. If he's in the top 4 for d-men on this team next year, I foresee problems already.(would mean no upgrade for the defense)
